Be Rude Not To Cafe
An incredible little cafe/ bistro, Be Rude Not To, specialises in ‘simple food passionately prepared’. I had apple-beetroot salad, roasted potatoes and watermelon for lunch and it definitely satisfied my tummy — it was delicious! I wish I had more space in my tummy because they had such a great selection of food! The wall beside us was plastered with heaps of posters which featured quotes meant to inspire and empower us. One of them read: “Minding your own business eliminates half the problems in your life.” Touché.

GoRaw Shop & Cafe
This hidden gem that is GoRaw was packed full of fresh and dried Natural, Organic, Local and RAW produce. There were cold-pressed veg or fruit juices, smoothies/ shakes a ton of wraps and salads to choose from. Yum! 🙂 This place is a cafe-cum-gym so just as You order Your food, You’ll hear weights clanking and some gym-goers discreetly grunting — ahha it was quite a funny experience.

Tamaki Maori Village
Now this wasn’t a restaurant/ cafe/ bistro per se, but much rather an experience in a traditional Maori village, which is, in my opinion, the best way to really experience Maori dining. This is because the food is cooked through laying a ‘Hangi’! I’ve explained this amazing way of cooking (and how spectacular the dinner was) in this blog post on my experience at the Tamaki Maori Village.
