Borough Market

Here You’ll find amazing Ethiopian food, and at an affordable price tag too! I can’t remember the names of the add-ons, but the yellow curry was Miriam’s and my favourite! Juices and smoothies were available too, albeit slightly on the pricier end, so perhaps it might be wise to mute Your juice/ smoothie cravings until You pass by a supermarket like Waitrose or Sainsbury’s.

We arrived at Borough Market slightly too late so a couple of shops had closed for the day already. If ever planning to head to this market, take my advice and go a little earlier so that besides the Ethiopian food, You’ll be able to try some of Veggie Table‘s food as well (I’ve heard amazing reviews from friends)!

Vantra

At Vantra, everything is Vegan, gluten-free, and free from processed sugar, and one will find ‘sumptuous food that nourishes optimum wellbeing, and a sustainable relationship with our planet’. We bought takeaway boxes, which is basically a free ticket to unlimited amounts of Vegan dishes, ranging from curries to dips to soups to noodle dishes to rice — the only catch being that You are limited by the amount of Your takeaway box. The secret to getting more is simply to squish everything down as You go? (Miriam’s box literally couldn’t be contained at the end of it hahaha!)

Our hearts were full, our boxes were fuller (obviously), and we made our way to Soho Square, where we very luckily scored seats on an empty bench.

Location: 25-27 OXFORD STREET, W1D 2DW (ground floor)

The closest tube station to us is Tottenham Court Road, which is a 1-minute walk away. Oxford Circus, Leicester Square, Holborn, and Goodge Street are each a 5-15 minute walk from the restaurant.

Monday-Saturday: 11am – 11pm
Sunday: 11am – 22pm

Yorica!

Yorica! aka. the place with the best dairy-free frozen yoghurt and ice cream in the world. I know this is a bold statement, but mi oh my, I don’t know how frozen yoghurt can get any better than Yorica!‘s. Plus, Hannah, who isn’t the biggest fan of the dairy-free movement, loved it.

Cookies & Scream (at Camden Lock Market)

Cookies & Scream was a lot harder to find than we thought it’d be, but after asking a weird man (weird because his over the top friendliness was on the border of being frightening) for directions, consulting our offline maps, and one too many incorrect turns, we finally make it and were spoilt for choice. Cookies, special cool cookies, brownies, pies, donuts, shakes, … seriously Cookies & Scream?! Why did You make it so difficult for us? (What I meant to say is, “thank You!”) We reigned in our cookie fantasies and managed to settle for something — an oatmeal cookie, a peanut butter and chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream! Life = made, mind = blown, taste buds = in heaven.

Location: The Market Hall, Camden Lock Place, NW1 8AF

The cookie bar is open seven days a week from 10am to 6pm.
